So much to be thankful for
We’ve had such a lovely Thanksgiving holiday. We had a big dinner at our house on Wednesday night. Charlie’s Great-Grandparents were even able to come. He loved having everyone at our house. My Dad also deep fried a turkey. It was his first time to attempt this and it came out perfect! Mark said that there were also two casseroles per person that night. We then headed to Malvern early Thursday morning and absolutely over-ate there too. Everyone couldn’t believe how big Charlie was. He ran around the backyard and played with all of his second cousins. The next night we took him to Garvan Gardens in Hot Springs to see the Christmas lights. He had such a fabulous time. He kept going, “oohhh” and “ahhh” and my favorite one “neat-o”. We headed back on Saturday in time to see the Hogs get beat :(
We had such a great Thanksgiving and are just so thankful for everyone and everything in our lives. I am reminded of a saying that I once read and think about often...love everyone with all your heart and be thankful for all that you share because you never know when someone might be called home.

P.S. Charlie has been working on his counting (1-5) and last week he was playing with a flashlight at Mimi’s house and she handed him another one. He held both of them out in front of him and goes, “two flashlights!”. It is amazing what he retains!
P.P.S. I asked Charlie what he wanted for Christmas this week and he sat there for a minute and then said, “Mickey Mouse and cake!”. I guess that we know what to have waiting under the tree! What a silly.
